Levi Dyer scored 20 points and five Illinois State players reached double figures in an 80-67 Missouri Valley Conference road win over Creighton on Saturday.
The 6-foot-11 reserve center hit five 3-pointers, including four in the first half when he shot 6-for-10 for the Redbirds (9-3, 1-0). It was the first home loss of the season for the Bluejays (9-2, 0-1).
