Matt Shaw scored 16 points and had 7 rebounds to lead Southern Illinois past Creighton 48-44 on Saturday night at the SIU Arena.
Bryan Mullins, with 13 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists, was the only other Saluki (10-10, 5-4 Missouri Valley) in double digits. Randal Falker chipped in 7 points and had 7 rebounds.
Both teams struggled on offense, with Creighton (14-5, 5-4 Missouri Valley) shooting 36.8 percent and Southern Illinois not much better with 41.9 percent shooting.
