Freshman Kyle Lewis scored 19 points, and Denver defeated Arkansas State 59-52 Thursday night.
Nate Rohnert scored 13 points for Denver (8-9, 4-2 Sun Belt), and Adam Tanner added 12.
Denver played without scoring and rebounding leader David Kummer, who suffered a fractured right fibula Sunday and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Arkansas State (8-9, 3-4 SBC) was led by Adrian Banks with 14 points, while Shawn Morgan had 11 rebounds and nine points.
