Joe Jackson scored a season-high 22 points as Denver defeated Northern Colorado 69-53 Saturday, avenging a double-digit loss to the Bears last month.
Denver (3-4) closed the first half with a 10-2 run to take a 29-20 lead into halftime, then shot 64 percent from the field in the second half to pull away.
Jabril Banks scored 16 points to lead Northern Colorado (5-3).
The Bears used a 7-0 run to get within 44-40 midway through the second half.
